Get Anyone to do Anything

Get Anyone to do Anything is the title of a fantastic book by David J. Lieberman. If you enjoy self help books, behavioral psychology, lifehacks or just want to learn a few cool tricks, you should pick up this book.

There are 40 different tips or mini-sections covering a wide variety of topics from “Get anyone to take your advice” to “Stop verbal abuse instantly” and even “Get anyone to find you irresistibly attractive”. Most of these topics are covered in a few pages each and present down to earth suggestions and advice, drawing on various scientific research when possible. The book focuses on dealing with other people. We all have varying levels of social intelligence and empathy, but even the most charismatic people out there could use a little refresher course now and then.

I particularly enjoy the sections where advice focuses on semantics or linguistics. Simply by changing your choice of a few words in a sentence, you can drastically alter the effect it has and the results you can get. Priceless!

I’ve found quite a few gems stashed away in the book, and frequently find myself picking it up and re-reading certain sections. It’s a great book to go through for a few minutes a day.
